There’s a man by the name of
James Allen who once said that “Good thoughts bear good fruit, bad thoughts
bear bad fruit - and man is his own gardener.[1]
I like that last part….man is
his own gardener!
So what are you growing in
your garden of life?
Negativity?
Criticism?
Jealousy?
Revenge?
Fear?
Anger?
Or perhaps you are just
feeling sorry for yourself?
Remember you reap what you
sow!
That’s why as a follower of
Jesus, the scripture tells us to think about :

whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or
praiseworthy--………. Philippians 4:8 (NIV)
Remember, the
things you think about the most will determine the kind of fruit produced in
your life?
So,
what kind of fruit are you producing…is it bad fruit or is it good fruit?
Summing
it all up, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating
on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not
the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse……
And God, who gives peace, will be with you.
